Living with lung cancer has taught Jules to focus on what matters most
Jules was diagnosed with tennis elbow and sciatica before discovering that lung cancer was the real cause of her pain.
I'm Jules, and I'm 41 years old. I'm a mum who loves to travel, and when I'm not exploring new places, I'm happiest at home with my fur babies.
When I received my diagnosis in 2021, it was Stage IV EGFR+ lung cancer. I had been experiencing ongoing pain in my chest, neck, upper back and shoulder, a lump in my neck, and pain travelling down my arm.
Before my cancer diagnosis, I was told I had tennis elbow and sciatica.
Living with cancer has taught me to focus on what matters most. I continue to enjoy my holidays when I can manage them, and I love every moment at home with my family and beloved pets. The simple pleasures have become even more meaningful.
