The 2025 UK Social Media Awards

Our little team from ALK Positive UK, EGFR Positive UK and the Ruth Strauss Foundation, along with six of our incredible campaign voices, headed to London on 8 October for the 2025 UK Social Media Awards.

All You Need Is Lungs was shortlisted for Best Charity/Not-for-Profit Campaign - a big moment for a lung cancer awareness campaign that began with a handful of personal stories and has grown into something much bigger.

It was a brilliant evening celebrating creativity, collaboration and the impact of social media in all its forms. Seeing a lung cancer campaign recognised on this stage meant a great deal to everyone involved.

We didn’t take home a trophy (though our table did win best 360 photo booth dancing! 🕺💃), but being there among so many impressive organisations felt like a win in itself.

The strength of All You Need Is Lungs has always come from the people who share their experiences – those voices are what make it what it is.

It’s a brilliant team effort between ALK Positive UK, EGFR Positive UK and the Ruth Strauss Foundation, and we’re already looking ahead to the next chapter - the 2025 campaign for Lung Cancer Awareness Month, coming very soon…
